No I don't disagree with you there. Have a good bank holiday anyway.

We lose our manager and are rudderless going in to a summer. Most clubs would be rife to lose their best assets at this point. Not us, Parish somehow manages to get our best player to sign a five year deal despite massive interest from clubs competing in the Champions league, and some of you still give him s***?

He had no control over what happened with Sam and he still managed to give us the best news we could hope for this summer. I'm so grateful I will see more of Wilf in a palace shirt and I'm going to back whoever Steve implements until he proves me otherwise, whether it's the bumbling Hodgson or the parochial Dyche or the much sought after Silva. He has our best interests at heart and has a helluva lot more skill than any of us.

In Steve we trust

Done a lot for the club, but does he need help in his role as chairman. Like a director of football. Like the job les reed does at Southampton.

Maybe we could get someone like Simon Jordan, Mark Goldberg or Ray Bloye to take over

He really could do with someone as dof to come in tbf. It would mean one criterion off the new manager hunt each time. He has Mark Bright there all the time. May as well have a top notch doc who's modernised a club and knows Europe's top scouts and everything.

It was a reasonable point that didn't warrant such an infantile response.

It is a good point and we do need a DoF both to assist with the transfer business, contract renewals, etc. and to provide some continuity if our management merry-go-round continues apace. It's also obvious that Parish needs help with making managerial appointments as we are now in the fourth week without a decision, which is far longer than necessary to make a choice from what's out there.

Here's one for the anti Parish numpties to consider:

Fat Sam did the right thing and bailed out right at the end of the season, leaving SP et al plenty of time to find the right replacement and leaving no panic or chaos like Pulis did.

So Southampton made it very clear before the end of the season that they would be "reviewing" Puel's situation at the end of the season and the man had to work with this hanging over him which I'm sure affected their results.

My point is this, would we rather have had a manager with some integrity step down at the end of the season or a board that messed about and then sacked a decent manager causing chaos and panic amongst fans?

Personally, I'm more than happy with CPFC2010 and the job they're doing.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

I think you'll find that a large proportion of Saints supporters did not like Puel's style of play, especially at home, with the dearth of goals. Also, notwithstanding the finishing position and League Cup final, there was disappointment amongst the support at the failure to make anything of their Europa League place. I don't think you'll find much "panic" amongst the Southampton faithful as they know a new manager will be appointed by next week. Southampton is a very well run football club and there can be no criticism of their ownership from us. Would that we had a tenth of their infrastructure.

We've had over three weeks to make an appointment, which is more than sufficient time to have done so. We are risking the process impacting on our preparations for next season, if it hasn't already. We need to stop fannying about and make a bloody decision so that the new manager has a decent chance to get us off to a good start next season.

Here are some of the facts that THEY don't want you to know.

Allardyce handed in his notice on the 50th anniversary of the day that Bert Head gave David Payne his debut for Palace.

Co-incidence?

I don't think so!

Payne was a home grown player. Whereas Allardyce likes to wheel and deal on the transfer market.

He was headed for a collision with Parish. who is a one club loyalist.

And here's another thing.

Say Sam Allardyce, backwards, while drinking a pint of wine (his favourite tipple). What does it sound like to you?

That's right: Bilderberg Group. The shady organisation run by The Illuminati.

It doesn't end there..... Oh, wait, hang on, there's someone at the door.....

Er, yes? Aaaghh!!. Oof! What are you doing? Help!

The name of this thread alone is laughable.

Classic! Made me chuckle and people opposite me on the train almost spoke to me!
