Then 11th hour they sack their manager and start talking to him. Parish then needs to start the whole process all over again which I assume he did almost instantly. So to think the delay is all down to parish I'd imagine is wrong. I've thought this as well but perhaps also if we got a move on quickly in the first place we could've had his signature or another's signature well before Southampton sacked Puel. I'm still surprised we didn't contact Silva and any others within a couple of days of Sam resigning. I know there was the Zaha contract signing holiday planned but I think an opportunity was missed to contact him and others. It took Silva's agent to contact Parish to get anything remotely possible there and now Southampton getting in the mix. Fvck it we have to get used to 2 of them preferring Southampton to us, and then Dyche.

With the exception of Warnock, I'd argue that every one of those managers was exactly what we needed at the time we appointed them. With that in mind, I have total faith in him finding the right man again regardless of how long it takes and think it's baffling that people are still questioning him. Actually saw someone moaning that we have been slower to appoint then Sunderland, Hull and Leeds, three of the worst run clubs going and all a division below us! Not a Bad record 8 Managers in 7 years, Sunderland were in the same position last year at this time and look where they ended up!

Danny Gabbidon, Ian Evans, Nicolas/Walsh. I wonder if SP will look to history and go for another inexperienced Manchester United winger. It didn't go to badly first time round.

Have you thought, it just might not be Parish's fault: e.g. Selected De Boer, he wanted to complete holiday before signing, Southampton get wind of this, sack whats his name and approach De Boer....delay OR There must be dozens of possible reasons why we have a delay that is outside of Parish's responsibility. We don't know so why the witch hunt? Like everyone I would like a new manager right now.
