The fact we live in a sick world, where "civilisation" appears to be regressing...

Errrrr that's a bit generalist is it not ? i suppose you include yourself in that rather broad sweeping statement ? Or is it just meant for those of us who voted Brexit (obviously were all knuckle dragging racists), and want an end to radical islam and IS including the t***ts that march waving there black flags about. ?

That's plain silly, Danny...

Of course I include myself...and the likes of you when I say "we " live in a sick world.

We live in a sick world? Do you agree?

Things seem to be getting worse not better in that regard.Do you agree?

Why turn something into a silly dig?

Thanks for your condescending opinion

No I don't actually, I think there are Sick people in it, that need wiping out for the sake of humanity, but no I don't think it's a sick world, we have so much to proud about, why let the actions of mentalists, jihad-ists, and the other scum bags, detract from what a marvellous place the world is.

Things seem to be getting worse not better in that regard.Do you agree?

No I wouldn't, Before the Islamic nutters turned up it was the IRA, and on home sole at least IS has a long way to go before I would consider them "worse" than the IRA.

But I take your point, on face value things do not look rosy, but look behind the veneer of fanatical boll1cks and there is plenty to feel proud about not just in Britain but the world over.

Why turn something into a silly dig?

It wasn't a dig, I was referring to your civilisation is going down the sh1tter comment. Because I don't happen to think it's true doesnt make me silly

Rubbish.

Humanity is what it has always been.

Of course some elements want us to return to a dark age of ignorance and brutality where idiotic religious dogma prevails.

I don't.
I believe the coverage of "sick" atrocities is greater due to social media and the internet in general.

Whereas we used to worry about the IRA, the ease of international travel has brought all sorts of foreign invaders into our country.

What hasn't helped is 'The West' blowing up targets all over the Middle East which have a lot of collateral damage including lots of innocent people in what is pretty much a war on keeping oil in friendly hands.

But there have always been sickos, paedos, nutters with guns etc. But technology advances mean you're aware of every gun attack in the US and every paedo attack in the country. It's also now easier and cheaper to make a homemade bomb so suddenly what was a very complex process is now something a 16 year old can make in his bedroom.

However when I go to work, Palace, concerts, restaurants I just see normal mainly decent people the same as I always have.
If you go looking for news about sickos or even trawl the Middle East Monitor for sad news you'll find it but people in general are alright in my book.

Except the Eurythmics and the Beautiful South.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I've seen this kind of s*** on Facebook and it winds me up. People should not be using something like Manchester to make a political point. It's disrespectful at best.

Ps..its always labour voters making this point

People dying in the Mediterranean trying to escape war zones is something we should all be concerned about, not just Labour voters. People dying winds me up too.
