You'd have to have had your brain amputated to think there was any chance of having this arrogant buffon back. Yet apparently Pardew at 28 / 1 or thereabouts is the most popular bet on Palace manager on oddschecker at the moment.

Looking at the list of names on oddschecker just now the folloowing are the only ones I see that are actually worse:

Zola (monumentally bad performance at Brum - truly impressive)
Strachan (can't even get a Scotland side to turn up against England)
Reid (is he really still around?)
Bruce (odious weasel)
Bradley (would have holed Swansea below the waterline if given any longer)

There are very few managers around that I would confidently expect to be capable of taking us forward and none of them would come near a club like ours. It really is a case of picking a name from a hat and hoping for the best. Stand-by for another short term appointment. Our situation is too important to gamble with.

Whilst I wouldn't want to see him back or be pleased if he was reappointed. He's achieved a top 10 finish with us , he took us to a cup final and produced one of the best calendar year as a Palace fan in 2015. 2016 was absolutely disastrous. Would he be humble enough to change his physiology. He knows the squad, could it be a different Palace with sammy lee as his assistant.

I'm expecting hate with thread but out of the names being linked to the Palace thread is he the most qualified. If he didn't have that spell at Palace and was available surely he'd be favourite for position.

Please. You're going to make me vomit......

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"
