Funny Alan should come up again . My husband's a glazier and on a job yesterday was chatting with someone who worked with pardew when he was window fitting / glazing years ago. Described him as an average footballer who got lucky and a chancer.

But was he a good glazier? Or did he just appear to do a good job, only for the window to fall out later, having not been securely installed?

That's stats won't relate. One of the worst managers. He's made me angry the way. He stripped the club of its leadership.

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that
He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right
And When his playing Brighton, He scores all f***ING Night!

I'd prefer to have Tony Pulis back than Pardew. Neither will happen.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

The problem with a new manager in my view is that you have to buy in to their football philosophy.

Basically to stay in the PL you have to get 10 men behind the ball and rely on occasional breaking out with speed.

That is the Palace way but whether its good football not IMO but it works.

It's history but Pulis was ideal for Palace IMO.

Whilst he shouldn't be considered in a million years. He's worked in the premiership in the last 6 seasons. If he hadn't been at Palace before isn't that what we should be looking for.

So why put him up for concideration? You knew the answer before you even typed your post..

Isn't a manager of he's experience what we looking for. With parish favour to appoint British coaches I guess it will either be dyche or monk.

It should be noted that Parish insisted that Millen stay as Pardew's assistant.

The fact he was removed when Sam came along shows how much Parish realised we were up *hit creek without a paddle and gave in to Sam appointing a whole new backroom team.

Super Al has made Sunderland fans very happy with an assurance that he will not be applying for that particular vacancy.
Can he now reassure ours similarly!!
Super Al back to Palace??
It's a big fat NO from me.

Whilst I wouldn't want to see him back or be pleased if he was reappointed. He's achieved a top 10 finish with us , he took us to a cup final and produced one of the best calendar year as a Palace fan in 2015. 2016 was absolutely disastrous. Would he be humble enough to change his physiology. He knows the squad, could it be a different Palace with sammy lee as his assistant.

I'm expecting hate with thread but out of the names being linked to the Palace thread is he the most qualified. If he didn't have that spell at Palace and was available surely he'd be favourite for position.

I would take Pards back in a heartbeat.

I keep having visions of hodgson in the dugout next year!!!
