Another sad loss he was a great bloke and gave thousands of kids and grown ups hours of enjoyment many times over. RIP you have earned it.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Plus we couldn't afford a dog (which might have been a cunning lie by my parents), so I was invested in the Blue Peter pets by proxy thing. Being a certain age, that dog was Shep. John Noakes was a bit of a hero of mine, as he was a bit of an outdoors guy just like my dad. Things like science and stuff didn't really interest me until I left school.
