And what a difference nine points would have made last season!

Maybe not 9 instead of the draw v Bournemouth but 3-6 was certainly possible. Keep taking chances and eventually you use them all up. Hopefully SP won't keep doing it.

If you were a fair weather fan you wouldn't turn up until 4th home game at the earliest.

According to the Premier League fixtures 'thingy' we are currently 6th in the league.

I'd settle for that; can we end the season now?

Except the seaweeds are 3rd. I wouldn't want that.

Alphabetical order I assume.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I just hope we get a good pre season, the players have come back unfit and disjointed the last few seasons imho.

Yes - very pleased with that. Could not have asked for much better really for picking up points if we should need them.

Really decent set of fixtures
Booking my hotel for Liverpool away today. Bournemouth away in April hopefully be sunny. Both the Brighton ties encompass mine and two son's birthdays. All in all pretty good.

Yep, would have preferred Huddersfield a little later and we are usually poor at home at the start of the season. Let's hope that changes this season.

Newcastle could have a fun day as well. Now to see if Dwight can produce in the Premiership. I wonder what the Huddersfield fans are thinking? Probably happy with us I imagine.

I wouldn't say it's going to be an easy three points, but I wouldn't expect to lose to that!

Talking out of the ring hole alert.

Huddersfield weren't s***e. In fact they came up in very similar circumstances to Palace. They were not even close to being touted as possible promotion candidates before the beginning of last season.

Some even predicted they would end up in League 1. They keep Wagner and I see another Bournemouth.

Yep you are!

I only mentioned the play-off final in which they were sh!te in a very poor game.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

Answering my own question. They seem happy with us on the opening day according, to their forum, but no claims of slaughtering us or anything. They sound more worried about their end of season run-in.
