1. 6:30am (Houston time) Sunday morning kick-offs
2. Simulation of all stripes
3. Ex-player defense of simulation of all stripes
4. Referees who fall for simulation like a dog falling for a fake throw
5. Big club bias and the plastic wannabes who make it happen

Actually, #1 should be semi-finals at Wembley but, f***, those early starts mess with my day. At least I only have to take the football special from the bed to the sofa.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Newcastle's away end.

The price of programmes.

Six people standing in your seat area at away matches.

Inability of pundits to use adverbs.

Pundits needless use of plurals as in " They haven't got the transfer budget of the Arsenals, the Evertons, the Chelseas". Never ever finish by saying, "of this world." "Such as" and the singular is easier.

Late postponements....as you arrive at the ground.

My inability to count.

I must admit that this annoys me as well. If I book a seat I'd actually like to sit in it not be somewhere vaguely in the away end because others can't get their booking act together.

1. New kits and sponsor logos changing every season. People take the piss out of American sports and the prevalence of adverts, but the pay off to that is that NFL teams aren't allowed to put sponsor logos (apart from Nike, who supply the whole league) on their uniforms, and they are only allowed to make uniform changes every few years. Fans get longer before their jersey is out of date, and they aren't walking billboards for a random company.

2. Devaluing of other competitions. The UEFA Cup used to be brilliant, and almost as good as the Champions League. Now it's so overshadowed it's terrible, and the Thursday fixtures are awful. Same with the FA Cup and League Cup. Football is about big days out and cup finals, not pushing to finish fourth or moaning about all your games being on a Sunday. Don't get me started on what they did to the JPT/Auto Windscreens or whatever it's called now.

3. People who moan about a) zonal marking and b) not having men on the posts.

4. The continued insistence on demonising all footballers as overpaid mercenaries, when we'd probably all at least consider moving to a better job with more money.

5. Following on from 4, anyone who claims that England lose because they don't care or aren't 'passionate' enough, or that picking players like Mark Noble or Danny Drinkwater will suddenly see them perform better. England are outclassed because players are technically and tactically inferior, not because they don't know the words to GSTQ.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Number 1 is not entirely true. NFL can change their so-called "heritage" (alternate colours) jersey yearly. There are also minor yet noticeable changes to both the home and away jerseys every year and there are "anniversary" patches that are worn from year to year. Many teams sell "premium" jerseys" that have sponsorships as well. Believe me, the NFl, NBA, NHL, MLB and especially MLS (annual kit change) never miss a trick when it comes to squeezing every last penny from supporters. They even sell NY Yankees home and away jerseys and Boston Red Sox home jerseys with the players' name on the back although the players' jerseys have never had them.

It's still lightyears away from what it's like here though. I have a Drew Brees jersey from three years ago that is still pretty much exactly the same jersey you can buy now from an official NFL shop, with a slightly different collar. It's got a Saints logo and a nike badge and that's it, not ManBetX or Mansion or Fly Emirates or anything like that splashed across it. Of course teams are still going to produce merchandise and make slight tweaks, but when you compare that to the very different kits we've had in the Prem, complete with huge corporate logos splashed across the front, I'd rather have the American option every time.

Edit: In fact, I just checked and the version of the jersey I have is still on sale because it's that similar.

Alan Shearer, his career went downhill after he rufesed to sign us, now o bore.
The enforced retirement of Kelvin Morton, the best referee to grace the turf of Selhurst Park.
