I would argue that racism of the sort purported by the Nazis for example was more about their ambition and self interst than hatred. Hatred was the mechanism generated to justify mass killing. How genuine was it really among the thinking man? It was manufactured for a purpose and deviation from that line was dangerous. Genuine hatred of one man by another is surely born out of real fear,resentment or insecurity. Hatred of a whole group requires a catalyst to evoke such emotions. I question the whole concept of racism on many levels.

I think John Mann, had he been leader of Labour, might well have delivered a victory for Labour at the current election. I quite like Corbyn, but he's too moralistic for me, lacking pragmatism.

I agree.

If John Mann were Labour leader a lot of Tories could switch sides.

Labour have more chance of pandering to a Tory base than the Tories have with Labour.....Ukip have better opportunities than the Tories in that sense.

May is a Tory wet really....yet the Labour base hate her...pretty much like they do any Tory.
