I agree.

Wickham is a very, very good footballer. Hopefully he will have some luck with injuries and realise his fantastic potential.

So much potential, still fairly young and got us to a cup final. He was going to be the next number 9 for England. If he can stay fit and he's not been ruined by a terrible injury then he will be like a new signing.

Can't see why so many of you rate CW so highly and his goalscoring record throughout his career backs me up.

He is the poster-boy of the modern tattooed Bentley-driving, glam girlfriend, overpaid, over rated English footballer.

He owes CPFC and us fans massively.

No more than a workmanlike donk, who offers some cover for C.B. in the target man role.

I think you have him confused with Bumfluff.

hes the perfect back up for Benteke if he ever gets injured or suspended. Anyone better than Wickham would not settle for the bench.

only trouble is its not the bench hes ever on, its the sick bed, if he can stay fit, he fits into our current system as perfect striker back up.

the alternative is you sell him and buy chris wood who in turn wouldn't be happy with the bench all the time and would cost us doe where its required for a second striker that is different from wickham/benteke, a pacier non target man type. a right back, a CAM and a back up DM

I think your assessment of him is overly harsh. He has the ability to be a very good forward. he can shoot equally well with both feet but probably should be more commanding in the air for his size. At 24 he still has time to get better but he has been let down by injury since he signed for us. If he can get that monkey off his shoulder and get a consistent run of games he could do very well. It just remains to be seen if he can shake a major injury and return to the squad.

Before his latest injury he'd started to put in some really good performances which is why it was such a blow that we lost him for an extended period. If he can stay injury-free, he'll be a real asset.

He has been really unlucky with injuries since he's been with us. Don't think that he is made of glass because his injury record before is not that bad, and the injuries are in different areas of his body. He'll get there, eventually, and when he is there he is a very good player.

Missed 8 games for previous 2 clubs, and has now missed 45 for us.

At one time in his development he was regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe. I believe that he was improving just before the injury. He must not be forgotten about, we either use him or sell him.
The new manager will assess him and hopefully get the best out of him.

He is an ok football, at present nothing more. Minutes on pitch is dire.

Bring back Brolin
