I'd argue we do need 2 strikers given Wickham's fitness record and Campbell's departure (has this happened yet?) but both Iheanacho and RVP is wishful thinking and we should probably distribute the spending around other areas of the team. I still maintain RVP would be a good signing but can see why others disagree.

Do we have a good young striker? Kai Kai might have potential but is completely untested at premiership level and relying on such a young player would be risky. I'd like to see him smashing it on loan at a championship or top league 1 team next season rather than occasionally sitting on our bench.

If the price and wages are low,then yea ( can't see Van Persie playing for a few quid a week )
I'm not into these past good players,jumping on to their last paycheck in the Prem.
We've been through it with Edgar Davids,Ade Adeboy and a few others recently.Its more of a stop gap, not the way forward in my mind.

I'm starting to warm to this. There is hardly any decent strikers around at decent price and he would only be back up. Could save us cash to strengthen other areas!

Another link and note the player on 25 seconds hitting it wide isn't Iheanacho, he had just played the pass to create the chance...
