I agree.i think Joniesta's attacking style is something FEB could work with.

Based on what?

He was an outstanding young prospect but his ongoing injury problems have never allowed that potential to develop.
With his drive, energy, low centre of gravity and real ability to make things happen on the pitch, I had always believed he would make his mark as a first team regular for Palace, although I recognise that might be a minority opinion.
I think he deserves a last chance at Palace, hopefully injury free, to see just what he is capable of under FDB, who could be the manager to finally foster that potential.

I for one will be shocked if all of a sudden FDB transforms Williams into an effective PL player.I look at his general ability, his injuries he has sustained and cannot see him making that jump.It really is a 'Leap of the imagination' to believe that he will perform for us with great aplomb.

Seen the figure of £850K.Don't know where this has come from. Not worth this figure as far as I am concerned.
But of course I might be proved totally and utterly wrong !

£850,000 is peanuts these days.

A lot of Championship clubs (And below) would disagree as they don't operate in the PL 'Bubble'
I happen to believe that Williams is at this level.
I just don't think he is worth this amount, "Peanuts" or not.

When a player like Jordan Rhodes or Ross McCormack float from Championship club to Championship club for over £10m then £850,000 is peanuts regardless of what way you look at it. It's wage demands that put off potential lower league clubs, as you'd know with your contacts.

Whether you regard it as "Peanuts" or not, I still think that Williams is NOT worth the £850K "peanuts".
At the end of the day he is not in the same league as Messrs Rhodes and McCormack who of course as strikers command a higher fee.

I like Joniest's heads up offensive style.
Yes his had injuries and although I don't see him being a first team player at the moment his more than handy to come off the bench and run at tired defenders.

I want to see one of our own given a chance and FDB will embrace youth so why not Johnny?

If Williams had not come through our academy would the same sentiments be expressed ?
If we had bought him from another club then perhaps a different narrative would come into play.

Nothing against the lad who has had to put up with injuries poor chap.If he was to become an effective PL player under FDB this would be great not only for 'Jonny' but for all of us. Just cannot see this happening.
