I love Puncheon, but it's all about competition for places. Wilshire was Bournemouths most creative player last season creating 34 chances. That was something we seriously lacked from our midfield last season.

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!

Saw that stat and was amazed creates 1.5 chances per game.
And that was the best.!!!!

Is the misspelt 'Wilt' in Wilshere referring to his injury record?

I think there can be a time when a player comes through all his injury problems and makes plenty of appearances and good performances. Well that's what I hope from Wickham, Wilshere if we sign him, which it doesn't sound very likely.

£10m and big wage cut and I'd take him. Peanuts in today's money and he could play in the No. 10 role, seem to remember him playing there for England a couple of years ago and having a storming game. Alternatively he could sit in with Luka but more of a box-to-box midfielder with Luka to cover.

Loan to buy also a good option.

We already have Loftus Cheek in that role, and hopefully he's not a sicknote. !

I think loftus cheek will be a squad player. Could be wrong with puncheon now captain. The midfield looks set as Cabaye, Luka and puncheon.

Competition for places can't be bad though.

You got the likes of Cabaye, Luka, Puncheon, McArthur, Loftus-Cheek and potentially Wilshere competing for only 3 places, hopefully ups the their game.

Think we'd only get him to replace Cabaye in all honesty.

I believe the misspelling is Wilshere for wheelchair, but who knows.

He may come good on injuries, but the question is can we take that risk. I think Arsenal would play him, and clearly they want him as they have offered him a new deal, but they are concerned he won't be fit given they are not risking putting him in their squad. Six month loan tops, but I would prefer no months at all.

Why is this thread still debating Wiltshire. Manager confirmed today we're NOT looking at him.

I'm happy to debate Wilshire as a 'suggestion' not because he's someone we're currently looking at..like the others who have contributed...clearly

Debate him as suggestion if you want but we've been told we're not in for him... my eyes that kinda closes the debate.

How do you know he's not double bluffing. Say for instance mcarthur wanted to leave as he's not in the first team and we accept a bid of 8 to 10m. Then we could be looking at wilshere for 10m.
