I think it depends where de Boer see Mensah if he sees him as a wingback, then we need a Rcb. If he sees him as Rcb, then a wingback a priority.

On balance I think this would be a good business if we could beat Liverpool down in price. He did well for Palace before his injury. I have seen the other posts about his previous issues, but I think that the way he has been treated has had an unsettling impact on the player, when he was on loan with us that gave him stability and game time. Also he did fit in well with rest of the team, that is good for motivation.

Can't see him being signed now especially with Dann looking the part this season. Tompkins is a decent deputy and there are 2 others who can play there who are very good for emergency cover. I'd love him here as would everyone but 8 million for 2 CBs already as opposed to the crazy fee for just him suggests we are being smart in a stupid transfer window.

If there was no injuries. I'd love mama Sakho back, but like coulsdoneagle said our business so far suggests we looking for good deals rather than joining in on this inflated market. Whats wrong with having a strong squad? For the record I don't mind if we sign him or not. But if we did, I don't see anything wrong with Dann and Tomkins as back up. Edited by Goldfiinger (11 Aug 2017 5.37pm)
