What does everyone think?

Something I occasionally do when we play away from home but the quality is always awful, and at least 30 seconds behind BBC Radio London.

I bought Sportsmania and had some great away game streams during the back end of last season.

I subscribe to Sky Sports but watch these illegal streaming sites as I want to watch Palace live at 3pm and not seven hours later.

I find that the streams play havoc with my eyesight so invariably I also watch the match again later at 10pm on Sky

So using something like StreamTVBox is illegal but rampant monopoly abuse and price-fixing carried on with the direct blessing of the PL and the FA is no problem. Zat right?

If my sums are right I can pay about £100 per month and get live coverage of about a quarter of PL matches, including something like one in six involving Palace, and listen to the radio if I want to know what's going on in the remainder.

They need to make a realistic offer to absentee fans before they start whining about someone else delivering what they can't.

Living 6000 miles from home streaming is a life saver. The only sadness in all this is that increasingly I have to endure US streams and their awful punditry thanks to the UK streams being taken down.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

I think it it completely unbelievable it is near impossible to stream a match you want to watch legally for a reasonable (5-7 quid) fee. You have to find illegal means and yes, usually quality is that bad that it only is worth it when we win (remember West Brom away and me running through the living room dancing).....

I think that's a valid frustration when games don't clash with a game being broadcast on Sky or BT - the classic 3pm on Saturday game for example (such as WBA away). If there was a service that streamed such games legally on a pay per view, I would be interested. I suppose the argument against is that I might do that instead of pitching up at the ground, therefore revenue lost to the home club etc etc

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
