A pay as you play deal sounds good. If we sign him on a huge wage I will be very disappointed as he is proven injury prone and may never get back to his best. Saw him play for Ajax at his peak, well he probably had his peak in his very first season ar Arsenal and then he surely was brilliant then. Interesting, but certainly not creative thinking if true. If we are putting all our eggs in the Sakho basket. I'm sure Vermaelen went on loan to Roma last season. He doesn't take up a prem loan, like Zouma would and has prem experience. We loan him with an option to buy, if he stays injury free.

Vermaelen was at Ajax 03-09 could be that he worked with de Boer previously. At least saw him in the academy.
