Well that's putting it mildly. I get that you're saying it's hypocritical and I don't disagree with you. I also don't think it's a good idea for us to replicate parts of society - restrictive governments and so on - that we look down on though.

How other governments run their countries shouldn't provoke some kind of tit for tat reaction. We can all travel to places where we see archaic laws, but it makes little sense to then implement similar laws here to get back at them. We should instead seek to have a legal system that holds a balanced and reaoned view towards all religious and non religious people. If we let our emotions influence policy it doesn't often go anywhere useful.
