Simply repeating your point doesn't improve it; I have rarely seen Dann being physically intimidated, perhaps an example might help?

Christian Benteke for Villa in Dann'a first season with us. Only giving this as an example as it's the main one that sticks out in my mind.

A right back that places JW on the bench and a good back-up striker must be priority uno!

Keeper is priority over rb.

We were comparing to Sakho,I did not repeat my post, i asked for a re-read to avoid confusion and misinterpretation.Dann was shrugged off several times last season,I will compile a list, we leaked lots of goals last season and he was responsible for quite a few.

Well remembered General.
Costa for Chelsea's goal at Selhurst ?
Although I actually fault Wayne for that one. ?

I don't think Benteke physically dominated Dann, Dann slipped and Benteke took advantage.

Sakho made plenty of mistakes for Liverpool and wasn't particularly physically dominating there whenever I saw him play for them. He did very well in 8 games for us, and certainly looks fearsome, but has also been responsible for conceding goals since moving the England

Which central defender hasn't been responsible for the goal or two

He did mate. Was like man against boy that game unfortunately for Dann.

No way, I could not disagree more BG. While I agree with your opinions on Wayne in general and really think he is not up to scratch, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we were forced to stick with him for another 6 months. RB however is holding us back. Arguably our weakest position since promotion and if we are to try this ambitious new style of football it is vital that we have PL standard outfield players.

We cannot go into a new season with just two keepers unless of course FDB feels our youngsters are good enough to step up, but I doubt that and think he will sign a keeper.

One more defender (preferably a big f***er like Sakho or Bruno) and a striker as well required.

I know Schlupp was a forward earlier in his career and likes to play there. I wonder if he is going to be converted to a more advanced player, because with PVA and Souare coming back to fitness and Riedewald able to play in 3 defensive positions we have adequate cover at LB. He is not however ever going to be cover for Benteke so I think we do need a specialist striker.

Anyone have the inside track on when Wickham might ever be fit again?

Putting aside my well documented disdain for WH's abilities, we just need another keeper anyway as we are one down.
