To our shame it will probably have been backed by the UK and certainly the USA, whilst denying it, and probably carried out by them too.

We have specifically been talking about Trump and the Iran nuclear deal. What you mention are separate issues to this and more 'whataboutery'.

Well when being bombed I am choosy, much prefer Iran.

Keep to their side of the bargain, something the USA and its puppet could never do...……

This is true.....though I feel no shame, you can if you want to.

The inherent unfairness of life isn't to my shame. The leaders of these countries are responsible for the path that their peoples go down.

But is the common man in the street who wants to get on in any way responsible for their global political situation.....Unless they are politically involved...nope.....that much we can agree on.

I should be surprised that you would rather take sides with an evil dictatorship that not only threatens its neighbours and subsidises global terrorism, but oppresses and kills its own people over the USA. But you're a textbook leftist, so I'm not.

Nope, I'm not actually leftist. And I am aware that Iran is not on Amnesty International's "nice" list. I am, on the other hand, sick of the hypocritical anti-Iranian bollox spouted out by the west who then back even worse (or at least just as bad) states in Saudi Arabia and UAE and facilitate Israel to behave badly with impunity.

I would have thought the existence and actions of AQ and ISIS and the current crisis in Yemen would be all the evidence I would need for this.

And what has Hezbollah and Iran been doing in Iraq and Syria in recent times? In your words, destablising the region. Possibly. However, they have also been fighting ISIS. Not remote bombing, but close quarter hand-to-hand stuff. In any other world they would be the enemy of my enemy. In a US dominated one, they remain pariahs. God forbid we upset Israel.

Largest state sponsor of terrorism my a*se.

Well all your posts are left leaning. And also lack facts and evidence.

So because Saudi Arabia is "at least just as bad" a state, that means the US should let Iran put motions in place to build a nuclear weapon? And to hell with the fall-out. That's such a weak argument. Pariahs? It's pretty shocking that you're a sympathiser of the Iranian regime.

This is in western interest.....why exactly is that hypocritical?

Are you seriously suggesting that the west are to blame for radical Islamic extremism? We would have it regardless. Are you aware of how it started? You could read the 'The Looming Tower' on this topic.

As for Yemen.....I'm not exactly sure that the argument that the west and the house of Saudi is one big happy family is an accurate one...it's an arrangement of convenience for both.

These guys are happy to support IS when they fight the west so....So what you say there is a bit off centre.

I get it that you dislike Israel.....but like before....What exactly would you be doing about Israel?

Israel is western facing.....Gays aren't in fear of their lives in Israel, you can practice your religion or have none at all in Israel without fear of death.....Women aren't forced to adhere to religious orders.....Essentially it's Jews from Europe in the middle east.....What are you suggesting....lets entertain the thought even though we couldn't do it.......What should be done....just give Israel to the Arabs and deport the Jews back to Europe?

Or should we step back and stop supplying the Jews with weapons and watch while the whole region explodes into a blood bath?

I have made my point pretty clear about Iran. It's horrible. However, it is not worse than other countries.

However, if you trace the thread back, you will see that all I said was that the US attack Iran for reasons that have nothing whatever to do with its alleged nuclear ambitions (which his own people say is rubbish) or poor human rights record.

On that, since when has being nice had anything to do with what side we support? The US and indeed the UK have been supporting despotic regimes since forever. Were not Thatcher and Pinochet best of buddies?

On political leaning, are you saying that those who support human rights and fairness are leftist; and those who support hard line despotic rule are rightist?

I am surprised that the President of Mexico doesn't petition Trump to build the wall immediately.

The last thing you need in South America is for the yanks to impose military dictatorship upon you, as has happened so often.

Yankee stay home por favor.......

You're massively conflating this.

It's really quite simple in the context of this thread regarding Trump's actions with Iran.

Is there evidence to suggest Iran have plans in place to build a nuclear warhead/weapon? Yes. Should sanctions be re-imposed to stop this? Yes.

Who's that, Pellosi?

Regarding Trump I can appreciate why people don't like him, but the stats speak for themselves: When it comes to Jobs and the economy he's unrivaled in his successes. I also like his strong stance on illegal immigration. I think people don't like his brashness, he's certainly not diplomatic, but the
again, has it ever been said anywhere "I know what the world needs, another politician". I've never known any politician strive to keep promises like he has. He's also a strong, no nonsense, uncompromising leader: something we could do with.

His nicknames make me smile too. Dnang Dick and Crying Chuck.

I had to look up who Mr Peeps was and I'm glad I did. Never laughed so much lol.
