White guilt trip then.
Let's be sorry for history.

If this is your conclusion from what I wrote, I see no point in continuing the discussion.

Soundbites only.

I think it shows how badly Trump's comments came across that we need to journey through the annals of time to move the topic on.

Trump would've never told a white American congresswoman holding the exact same views with ancestors from elsewhere to "go back to" their country. The comments were clearly racist. Intentionally so. A calculated gamble and no doubt part of his 2020 re-election strategy. Whereas the democrats reel off the myriad of races they hope will vote for them in numbers, Trump's strategy has always been to make non white Americans appear 'foreign' when needed. See birtherism.

I'm sick of minorities demanding this and complaining about that. As more arrive, they will become more demanding.

I'd happily see loads of them 'go home'.

Racism? It is their 'race' that gives them the power to lobby.

Who are the racists?

The 10% are making life for the 90% less pleasant every year. No wonder Trump was elected.

It’s their job to be Trump’s opposition - they have as much right as any other politician to challenge and complain if they want to.

If he’s not able to debate them on the complaints they have, I think that says a lot more about him than them.

I will try to give you a serious answer.

I don't use any specific sources to the exclusion of all others. The BBC is open in my browser all the time as my goto source of information on sport and the weather, and "breaking news". I then follow the scent. If there is a big story I will read accounts of it from a variety of sources. If it is something in the USA I will read both CNN and Fox to see how both sides of the coin report things. I shy away from internet based sources like Huffnews or Breitbart, and certainly InfoWars, because I don't trust their editorial controls. I follow Donald Trump on Twitter and often read the comments of those who respond to him as this gives an insight into how his supporters react and how his critics tear him apart. I rarely watch pod casts or read blogs. I prefer to work things out myself having gathered as much fact as I can. I used to write a blog myself, but only as my journey from a cancer diagnosis to being given the all clear, seemed worth sharing as a possible way to help those in the first days.

There are politicians I instinctively trust as being honest and straightforward, even if I don't always agree with them. Ken Clarke, Michael Heseltine, John Major as Tories but none of the current crop of buffoons. Frank Field, Tom Watson, Ben Bradshaw on the other side. Nichola Sturgeon seems a decent sort.

Outside of politics David Attenborough and Brian Cox, alongside other calm and reasoned thinkers who address the issues without thinking of how it works for them and their careers. Oh and, of course, Sir Roy Hodgson the most obviously decent man to ever manage Palace.

Breitbart London is worth a look as they sometimes give prominence to articles not covered by others which you can then check on other sites. The comments can get a bit foaming mouthed though.
My wife has had a few dealings with Nicola Sturgeon at work and speaks very highly of her as someone who is always considerate and thoughtful, takes the time to personally thank people for the work they’ve done, etc.

I think he would if she pissed over the flag; which is an analogy of what these women did.
If you dont like what you have in life you try your hardest to change it. Not antagonise by ripping apart every shred then accepting everyone to back you up.

I would think becoming a congressman is having a good go at trying your best to change your life. Besides this has very little to do with whether Trump's comment was racist or not. It was, so we'll go through the usual deflections and cries of 'but what about this' thing too.

What if she was say Danish or swedish.

Almost everyone is the US comes from somewhere else not so long ago. When Trump insulted John McCains service and mocked his torture did you say 'go home Trump'?

Three of the women are Americans. Like Trump. You can take on their opinion within the coutnry, rather than viewing them as mouthy non white who should 'go home'. Or convincing yourself that they hate their country so much that they aren't 'really' American, or shouldn't be there.

Even if someone strives to represented a party in government they get thrown into a '10% making your life less pleasant'. You appear to view them all in one broad 'coloured' stroke.

My point is simply that his comment was said due to the colour of their skin. Which it was.

Yes they do, and they do like complaining...Endlessly.

There you go bringing colour into it.

These issues arise because they use their 'colour' as a weapon.
It is an us and them stance.
People are continuously trying to gain an advantage by using race. This policy can only ultimately create an opposite response.

Immigrants and non whites have the same chances in the west.
My point was being apologetic for failure of minorities cannot be a default of comparing to whites and their chances.
There are probably more whites in the s*** pro rata of population than non white or immigrant.

In Africa it has swung to the other way on the perception that it happens in the west to minorities I would guess.
How is that not discussed and protested about.

You expect me to mention them all by name?

This is a discussion thread, not a public inquiry.
