MP Dennis Skinner is the only principled socialist left?

Pretty much....I should think his memoirs will probably be pretty interesting.

Well, I have criticisms of Trump like I have criticisms of all things, including myself. However, he's definitely more my type of politician than Clinton....and when I look at the Democratic party right now I'm looking at a collection of fruitcakes.

Let's look at both your main contentions.

Once again, I have to state the cast iron fact that nothing Trump does on the climate makes the slightest difference. All your comments on this area are wildly exaggerated.

Like I said, and will be proved correct on....it's technology or bust and the US are among the leaders on some exciting developments in taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

And again, this notion that foreign governmental interference in the US elections was something new or note worthy is on one hand....massively exaggerated as to what effect if any it had....and on the second hand a complete hypocrisy. The west, including us and the US have been meddling in foreign elections for decades....Hell, that's one of the reasons Putin is pissed off (though Putin himself is of course a hyprocrite).

Hell, you are still hanging onto Russian collusion, and wrote several posts on here defending the idea that something will still come from that.....which is essentially a conspiracy theory at this point.

You need to admit to yourself that your dislike for Trump has interfered with your ability to rationalise what he does objectivity.

I havent noticed many criticisms

Why do you guys keep bringing up the clintons. You see it on youtube, you see it on Fox, why are the clintons part of the Trump discussion time and again?

You believe nothing Trump does on climate will make a difference? You are dead wrong there, Stirlingsays.

Trump has tried to undermine the EPA and rollback effective Obama era efforts to fight climate change.

Trump has decided to withdraw from the Paris Climate agreement.

Trump thinks global warming is a hoax invented by the Chinese to attack the US manufacturing industry.

Russian meddling in 2016 was widely considered the most effective and widespread campaign ever waged in terms of social media manipulation.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Pelosi is a skilled politican who rungs rings around Trump time and again.

AOC has some extreme views for sure, but so does the freedom caucus.

Picking out 1 or 2 people here and there wont reflect well on the GOP when you have Steve King and.........Donald Trump running around.

Instinctively Trump gains a huge electional following that's clearly a counterpoint to his clearly quite unpleasant personality.....because people, both men and women know where they are with him. He is the beginning of a white male identitrian vote.....essentially because they have no one else to vote for.

Andrew Yang is quite interesting....even though he's a democrat he's clearly not a fruitcake nor a player of victim politics and has lots of interesting ideas on how to move ahead into the modern age.

In the short to mid term 5-10 years I see Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson making big moves in the GoP....because that's how politics moves in the modern age.....and maybe....god forbid Ben Shapiro.

That is the challenge the dems must tackle. Trump's base will die with him on some hill somewhere, but the moderate republicans, independants, and educated suburbanites showed their views during the midterms were Trump suffered historic losses. They will decide 2020.

Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson.

F8ck me that is depressing. Absolute pair of c&&&s of the highest order. Tucker carslon is a terminal c&&&. He has a case which cannot be cured.

Kanye may have something to say when Candace sits in the Oval office. Do you approve of her due to BLEXIT, Stirlingsays?

I will read up on Yang, not familiar.

Well she owned Trump and his ridiculous childish ill advised shutdown.

First she made him look a tit in his own office in front of the press.

Secondly she got the term "Trump shutdown" to stick.

And for the hat trick, Trump had to cave in on his shutdown, without getting a single dollar of the billions he demanded. He ended the shutdown in return for, nothing at all.

He was played, so if she is dim, he has the mental power of a gnat.

Even Fox, state run as they are, could not spin this anything other than a loss for the President:

Blexit was a media myth...laudable but not realistic...Owens is pretty accurate about a lot of things she says but the bulk of the forces she's pushing against in her community aren't going to change.....though I do see an impact by her in the middle class black community over time....but that's going to be a few percentage points at most.

I don't see anyone popular in the Democratic party who are going to chime with moderate republicans.....it isn't going to happen, the best the Democrats has is Sanders who isn't even really a democrat and creepy Joe Biden.....both old white men.....which considering the racial issues the democrats have towards white males is a difficult issue for them.

That said, the Democrats could field one of their crackpots and still have a good chance of winning 2020 purely due to the demographics.

Trump doesn't deserve to lose due to the economy and foreign affairs but he could do simply because America lowers on white population percentage every year....and that's his main voting base.

The future for America is wall to wall democratic rule.....though Trump has a good chance in 2020 and the Gop even a small chance in 2024.

But from there on.....I don't see it happening....more chance of the Democrats splitting into moderate v fruitcake.

Then the nature of the GoP will slowly start to change as normies wake up.....the GoP itself probably splitting during that process.

Trump has always been in favour of 'clean coal' and keeping jobs since running for president. I know it's a shock, but he's actually keeping with his promise. With other measures, the US is now self-sufficient in energy again.

The Paris Climate agreement is a worthless pile of crap. Virtually every country that signed it has failed to reach its pledges. Yet Trump is the bad guy? [Link]

Meanwhile, 'In 2017, US had largest decline in CO2 emissions in the world for 9th time this century' [Link]

Trump has since reversed his position on climate change in October 2018.

"I think something's happening. Something's changing and it'll change back again. I don't think it's a hoax. But I don't know that it's man-made. I will say this. I don't want to give trillions and trillions of dollars. I don't want to lose millions and millions of jobs. I don't want to be put at a disadvantage. Look, scientists also have a political agenda." [Link]

You have the audacity to criticise Trump over the environment. Yet when AOC launched her Green New Deal, it got ZERO votes in the Senate.

You will not let the Russian thing go – it was all a hoax!

The president's party - apart from on 3 occasions - always loses the Midterms since the 1930s.
