If only he was able to change to a CB or Target man, he has the physique to be awesome.

A bloody winger in one of the fastest leagues in world football, jeeeesus Christ ol mitey. Just aint fast enough. Hes like John Barnes but without the skillset or being able to retain the ball long enough. He is obvious championship quality.

Sako has been unfairly maligned by the majority on here. He started off ok, then Pardew got into his head, then suffered with injuries last season. He came free or very cheap and is a good squad player.
I think De Boer will get the best out of him this season, he wont be first team pick, but can do a job of the bench.
We need to get behind players, instead of dreaming of who we are going to buy next, because it aint going to happen.
The proposed sale to the Chinese will put a hold on major transfers, why would they spend money, if a sale is in the wind.

If he had merits that made us interested in the first place, that won't have changed, irrespective of any agents fee. If our desire to sign the player is so tenuous that it hinges on an agent's fee, then perhaps he wasn't a target we should have bothered with in the first place. Standing on points of principle is all fine and dandy, but our history tells us that we must take care not to cut our nose off to spite our face. If the cash is so tight that we need to agonise over the minutiae of every deal, then perhaps FdB and his grand plans aren't really for us and we should have looked at the Dyche deal instead?

I agree with you with respect to getting behind players, but as I understand it, the Chinese deal is a dead duck. I hope that transfers aren't on hold because we're hoping to sell because, if that's the case, they could well find themselves trying to sell a Championship club in May.

I'd have to say that he isn't good enough for the PL. Either that or he doesn't do it whilst in a Palace shirt. He is capable of doing some good things though. Much like Chungy who also seems capable of some great moments but not consistent enough for the Prem. I suppose Darren Ambrose would have been the same had he played in the PL for us.

When he 1st signed I was very happy,my mate is a Wolves fan & was gutted when we got him.I went on You Tube & saw all the great goals he scored for them albeit in a lower division & was excited when he signed.

I was at Selhurst when he scored against Villa & looked quality for the 1st few months. He has 1 hell of a shot & can also cross well. After his injury he hasn't been the same player,i think Pardew's training methods didn't help & players have commented on this such as Townsend.

He was poor after his injury in his cameo roles & in my opinion he is carrying too much muscle for a winger.I think too many fans are writing him off too soon & I believe he could be an asset to the club, maybe not a starter but someone to come off the bench with 20 mins to go.

Don't get me wrong if for example Wolves offered £3m for him I would sell because he would only be a squad player plus he is on a good wages believed to be about £50k a week because we got him on a free. However I don't think it would be the end of he world if he stays as long as he shows the form he did in his 1st few months here before his injury & i'm sure Frank can get the best out of him as well as other players.

Players who get injured take a long time to recover form and fitness in the PL. He now does look in good shape. I would imagine he would be a bench player coming on if if the game needs changing in the last twenty mins, or if Wilf or Townsend get injured

Agreed but it's not normally three seasons.

Only problem with that is Sako cannot jump. I've never seen any daylight under his boots! Doesn't head the ball very often anyway. He is never defender material.

He was great when he first joined then out injured and put weight on. Deserved the stick he was getting as a proffessional he should never be overweight. He now looks trimmer and much sharper. Remains to be seen just how good he is and how much he wants it.

Have you got a thing against former Wolves players??

I think he's class but hasn't had the opportunity to show this due to his injuries. Whenever he's come on since recovering from his injuries he's played extremely well. I see him as a regular player, not just on the bench this season, especially against physical teams such as West Brom and other similar teams.
