I'm hoping it was a case of seeing how he plays in that position just in case he's needed.

In one of the articles I read about FdB when it was rumoured he was going to be appointed mentioned that part of his playing ethos is that players should have a good understanding of the other positions around theirs. This enables them to fit in due to injuries etc or rotate if someone is caught upfield etc.

TBH, I think Luka could play just about any position & give a good performance.

I watched the game and in the first half he played right back without s doubt.

Kelly was centre back in second half too.

Not he didn't, the back 3 in the first half was Luka (Rcb), Kelly (central cb), Delaney (left sided cb)

Without a doubt Mika should play in the middle and must be always a starter. If Loftus fullfil all his potential he's another one. Then comes the others based in the match characteristics and their fitness. It's difficult to reckon for most of us but Puncheon even being a captain it's the week link in lots of matches. Sometimes the filter to try to get rid of bias is asking if a certain player was able to play in most of the others premier league squads.

Played there again today, apart from his mistake for Metz goal. We looked best in possession with him as part of the back 3.
