After watching Jules against West Brom on Sunday and the saves he made I would prefer him to start than Hennessey. Opinions?

Erm not good enough at this level anymore unfortunately . He's 38. De Boer come to palace to reduce the age of the team and squad. At best Speroni got 2 more years as professional footballer.

Or The Wayne Hennessey thread version twelvty...

So you saw him play 45 mins in a meaningless friendly and have come to this decision. It was all just nostalgia.

Watching the game and comparing the two both keepers played ok, well in fact. The defence did not look calmer or more at home with Jules in goal neither did the rest of thee team. If Wayne shaded it it was probably in distribution from the back as DeBoer seems to like the back three and keeper to start moves upfield. Jules makes some saves look better than they are as he is not as tall as some keepers hence the spring and mid air save, but he didn't have any more or less to do.

My suggestion let Jules go back on loan to Dundee finish on a high. A 40 year old keeper is not the answer to a long hard Premier League campaign.

Entirely agree Dan. At 38 Jules is a splendid no 2 until he retires.

Simple. Try to sign a new No 1. Til then, play Jules. And when we do sign a new No1, sell Wayne.

I don't think that Nyom viewed it as a friendly
