Chlorine is an antiseptic and is used to make drinking water safe and to treat swimming pools. Plus in the USA used to clean chicken, I don't see a problem. While I did not vote to leave the majority did so lets make the best of a bad job.

There are many food products that are subject to this sort of compromise. Levels of safety are set to make a product viable meaning that an element of risk will remain in some cases.

So its an acceptable compromise if its the US, but if its the EU, its being dictated to.

I don't doubt its no less safe, but that's not really the issue here is it.

Its that its ok for the US to dictate UK legislation and Standards, but not if its the EU.
