The Buy Back Clause

This seems to me to just be another way that the big clubs get to monopolise the transfer market. I get that they don't want to get their fingers burnt like Utd with Pogba, Chelsea to a lesser extent with Matic etc but in general I don't agree with it.

If you value a player or see potential in that player then play that player in your side - if you want them to get experience or see if they can cut it at a particular level then the loan system is already in place for exactly that. As far as I can see this just ensures that the smaller clubs with less financial clout don't get the opportunity to cash in on player development. I'm not naive enough to not appreciate that having said player in your side for one/two/three years before they are "bought back" may well produce better results and financial gains but the smaller club's still miss out on the big pay day.

I personally think the FA should consider banning this relatively new idea before all transfers are limited by it, like China did with the excessively high transfer fees and wages. Maybe I've completely missed the point...
