Yup, damned foreigners bringing in their un-British views. When will people learn that Australian culture automatically implies sexism and homophobia.

(Clearly making fun of some of our other Islamophobic friends, don't take me seriously).

I still say Gareth should be ashamed of himself. The effect could well be that we block anyone from saying daft things. If we do that we don't get the chance to debate and, on rare occasions, change viewpoints. And that is where it becomes the Thought Police.

A balanced programme would have made it clear it is a matter of much debate and a very small but vocal minority still espouse views from the 1950s. However, the majority has made its voice heard on this site as in life more generally and is very tolerant.

Pitting people against each other is never going to allow for progress and is just counter-productive.

One of the reasons I debate on this site is because so many individuals infuriate me. Their views are diametrically opposed to mine. Yet in the end I find common ground and camaraderie. And maybe once in a while I score a point and make someone think.

In that case why keep posting on this site? If you see nothing in common with everyone else here then maybe it is correct you should not be allowed to spout your bile. We largely tolerate it because we thought you were 'one of us' just badly misguided.

And by the way I don't see this site only as a Palace site, I see it as a South London and Proud site too. Even those that have moved away or never lived here, the philosophy has a local feel.

I'd order an ethical bean burger with misery fries, don't worry.

I have tried one or two of those sorts of things and have attempted to cook with Quorn, but I'd be lying if I had said I had sampled the whole market. There's lots of things I haven't tried that I claim to dislike but actually how would I know? I think that could be levelled at most people. I take your point, but I haven't just spent 36 years chewing beef without having ever tried anything else.
