I've never been in a split situation and accidentally killed a black kid. My lack of life experience is appalling I know. Just imagine if you're in the black community in this country for a second. 1500 people have died in police custody since 1990, a disproportionate amount are BME. No police officer has ever been charged. That's a hell of a lot of s*** going down, and very little accountability. Situation now only makes it worse. Three dead in a month, plus the nature of policing has changed, with more armed officers and private security, and less accountability with the latter. Add to that cuts to legal aid which make it almost impossible for a poor black family to bring charges against an officer, and the spectre of Grenfell tower, showing everyone how little of a sh*t the state gives about BME people, even when they commit absolutely no crime.

Another incident last night - BBC only reported it 3 hours ago: It's OK though - the motive (as to why an Iraqi, already known to police, was carrying a sub-machinegun) is (as before) currently unknown and not thought to be terror-related. Just your run-of-the-mill middle-eastern machine-gunning by a person known by the authorities. Nothing to see here.

While I'm here. the 14 year old girl that was raped in Birmingham, flags down a car, the driver of which also raped her: The first rapist ("Khurram Rahi") has been charged: Police are still looking for the second - a thick-set "Asian" man.
