One of the raids was near my ex's place.... groups of local black males were spitting and throwing things at police from their balconies. She saw what she thought was water being thrown at police, but has since been told it was cups of urine. Just imagine a group of white people chanting pro white slogans while abusing and throwing piss at black officers. Everything has become so twisted, so normalised.

It's about feelings and values over reason and accuracy. It's about 'winning' and not compromising and making deals (Trump hasn't completely made that concept a negative has he?). They were wearing protective helmets, they had riot shields and a big machine that the fire service use for cutting open cars, they used this to get thru the steel door thing. The whole thing took quite along time... there was quite a crowd by the time they got in. She is like me, mixed race... and was uncomfortable with what her neighbours kids were shouting at police. It wasn't a quick operation like you see on tv cop shows. When they got thru the door a ironic cheer went up. I get a whiff of you not believing me, if that's the case come out and say it... I won't take it personally. It's kinda cowardly to hide behind insinuations. Apologies if I got the tone of your reply wrong. If you think a protracted police raid on a Tottenham Mandem gang member in Tottenham on a council estate where Tottenham Mandem members live wouldn't cause trouble , maybe you should come down for the weekend. I'm a massive advocate for education in the black community, so I'm always pleased when I hear of black kids doing well. In America, they do mentoring for young black males, who don't have role models... if I still lived in London, I'd consider doing it. I'm currently working in East Sussex... the young black men down here seem to have their heads screwed on a bit more than their London brothers
