At the risk of being extremely unpopular here, as I see it Brighton are a good club, with a very competent PL experienced manager, and a brilliant newish stadium. They play good attacking football. Sure, they are one of the favorites for relegation, but I hope they stay up. Well that was brave if nothing else!

I'll be lambasted for this, but if they finished the season on a paltry 6 points I'd not care too much if they got them all against us. That said, I'd rather they got them all from Liverpool.

Thought you had changed your signature Ray but glad to see it is still there!! It is one of the very few on here I remember and the very first thing that came to my mind when FdB was mentioned in relation to us! It is also why I fell in love with the English game long ago...... Hughton is a decent manager. I predict they'll do the same as Burnley did a couple of seasons ago - come up with a Championship team, don't invest heavily, and slowly but surely head back down. Wouldn't be a complete embarrassment for a newly-promoted club with realistic fans, but as we all know...

By way of contrast, the collective intelligencia at the Grauniad has Palace finishing 14th. [Link] Dominic Fifield adds the colour to the prediction. It's a good read.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Article in the Mail about that chap that went to Rome to sign the Pope. Don't think there is any mention of him describing us as animals [Link]

Anything can happen, If they are in the bottom 3 after 10 games i think that's where they will stay. Still they have got a nice easy opener against Citee..

Haven't every team he's managed in the EPL been relegated? Hello, Birmingham took him on in June 2011, he got them into the play-offs finishing 4th, they lost 3-2 to an Ian Holloway Blackpool over two legs, in the final Sam Allardyce's West Ham won 2-1. So as yet he hasn't been relegated as manager.

I have them going down its going to be a very hard season for a lot of teams. Stoke WBA Newcastle Brighton Huddersfield Burnley would be my any three from six but we could be in the mix if we have a poor start lose Wilf and Benteke and we are in big trouble.

I see a Palace fan has started a poll on NSC asking who will finish higher, Eagles or Seagulls. At the moment voting is about 60% in favour of Palace. Seaweed have made a few good signings but with all "smaller" clubs I reckon it's keeping your best players fit and available that determines relegation.
