You've missed my point entirely. None of us had heard of Wilfried Zaha until he made a single appearance in the Hillsborough season. Then he goes and makes 40 appearances the next.

He wasn't one of the main stars in our academy at the time funnily enough but it all suddenly clicked and people were universally surprised.

Sullay KaiKai is seen as the most likely player to make the step up, but no manager's given him a chance and the lad's nearly 22 with only five appearances to is name.
I don't contradict myself at all, you just can't trust the kids. It's risky business for a Category 2 Academy club like ours.
