Is there any chance that Frank knows that Ward can play RB/RWB so is testing Andros out and giving Lokilo game time. Could be the same with Luka playing CB, giving him game time there knowing from training that Dann and Tomkins don't need the pre season games as much. Not saying this is definitely the case but something to think about.

Good point Alex. After all, that's what friendlies are about. Finding out the unknown.

Highly doubt it, must of tried in training and wasn't impressed. Rwb is a specialist position. You need to have the engine to get up and down the pitch and able to cross. This attributes are more suited to Townsend. I would still prefer a natural wingback but it works for Moses and ox

I'd be much happier if he was playing on his natural side, not a fan of a left footer playing rwb. WHo do you start next week in that position, Ward or Andros ?

Isnt that what offside traps are supposed to do?

Yes, provided the referee is competent. Not everyone is 100% confident in offside decisions under the auspices of, say, Bobby Madley and his merry men.

I wished we had tried schlupp as right wingback but I think I would select Townsend. Unless fosu Mensah been bought in.

Why? At least Townsend has played on the right most of his career

He's not a natural wingback though.

I think between Schlupp and Townsend I'd go for Townsend. Better on his right foot than Schlupp. However I'd play Ward at the back with Andros further forward.
