The amount of team without puncheon is laughable. While I agree he shouldn't start he will, he's the captain and we haven't won a premier league game without him in the line up.

I would go 3-5-2/ 5-3-2 in this game

Hennessey
Townsend RWB
F-Mensah Rcb
Dann
Riedewald Lcb
PVA Lwb
Luka cm
Puncheon cm
RLC cm
Zaha left striker
Benteke right striker

You already posted a team on this thread that didn't have puncheon in it on the first page?

I think the pace and strength pf Fosu Mensah will give the right side the better security it needs allowing Puncheon and Townsend to play to their strengths.

Not really. Everyone has bad games, but he's had too many. J know he bleeds palace and has been a great player and at times a hero for us. But he's just not good enough any more.

My sentiments exactly.

Have to say that Huddersfield may well spring a surprise on Saturday: they'll come knowing that they are the underdogs and new kids-on-the-block; no expectations on them to win; will be up for the battle; have invested greater depth in first team players and Palace all too often have a notoriously slow start to the season.

How I WANT to be wrong as games like this MUST be three point bankers for Palace if they are to enjoy Premiership safety. Our season starts this Saturday and not after XMAS.

I genuinely dislike having to repost this comment alas today felt like 'deja vu' by way of previous Palace starts. Given that the pre-season Premier prediction guide suggests that we played the least fancied team today AT HOME, it cannot be stressed what a calamitous result today has been. OF COURSE I am not implying any resignations but a complete rethink of where club is now is called for before transfer window burns out Already I can foresee Premiership over cup competitions to solidify league position given REQUIRED play transition.

Can't help but think that Sakho's expertise is vital plus a forward e.g. Snodgrass and/or Griffiths...purely based upon realistic spending and who MIGHT play for us with necessary front-line expertise at equivalent team status = just being realistic in terms of Club funds and inflated modern day transfer picture.
