Oneplus. Absolutely the way forward. Basically an iPhone but better because it doesn't have the same planned obsolescence that mean an Apple phone barely makes it to the end of the contract if ever.

Read (a good few) of the Trust Pilot reviews, and am somewhat suspicious. A product may be dodgy, but not to that extent.

My current handset is Google Pixel XL. Very good but very expensive.

Of the phones I have had I'd place the makes in the following order, best to worst:

OnePlus (so far, hard to judge yet though)
Samsung (they tend to have a bit of a bespoke Android layout that can be a bit annoying, but the phones last quite well)
HTC (started well, got really buggy after about 18 months)
Nokia (the old bricks were really good, in more recent years they've been pants)
Sony (one really good phone but also one of the worst)
Huawei (absolutely the worst phone I have ever had. It seemed a valiant attempt to rival the rest of the market to begin with, but significant degradation came in probably quicker than with any other phone I have had).
