We beat Leicester 3-2 on the opening game of the season. Zaha scored his first palace goal. A scrappy volley lob as he was jumping if I remember rightly. Were we 3-0 up at one point in that game, I can't remember exactly?

I was there in the upper holmesdale and I remember before the game telling my brothers to look out for Zaha because I'd seen a bit of him the previous season and he was the nuts.

Maybe it doesn't need another thread, but I thank my lucky stars we still have that young man in a palace shirt. The last few years have been amazing and he is a huge part of why. Have never enjoyed watching a player as much as him. When he came back and scored against Newcastle I was absolutely over the moon that he was back where he belonged.

Who else was there against Leicester?

What are your favourite moments that you have seen of his career in the past 7 years and what do you remember about the day?

Let's have a little Zaha love in before the season starts.

I was there...midweek game. Didnt Garvan score a screamer as well..25yrd half volley?

You obviously never had the pleasure of watching Mark Lazarus, Yogi Hughes. The mighty Don Rodgers. Gerry Queen, Then Ian Wright, unbelievable player.
I would put Wilf up there with all of those, I just wish he would shoot more from further out, much more often. The guy really hits the ball and I reckon if he added that to his game he would be our all time great. Its what he lacks that Neymar has over him. As a dribbler ,speedster, crosser, trickster etc he is right up there with Neymar. He sets the crowd on fire.
Look at his run and cross against Shalke. He just toasted them.
The guy is dynamite. If he could score 4-5 long shots each season he would be worth north of £80M

Which is our dilemma..we want Wilf to have a great season but if he does it's very likely we'll lose him for mega bucks (bearing in mind he'll have 4 years left on his contract)...and it doesn't matter how much we get for him, he's irreplaceable for us when he's in form.

Well many Holers said he would go this Summer, but he is still with us.
He has tried it once before,I think if Fergie hadn't retired he would of been ok.
Still enjoy him while he is with us.
