Adams to his credit was the only pundit (in the Sunday Mirror) I think to think we had a good chance of winning.

He pointed out astutely that the club was around long before he was and will be around long after he's gone; his job is to leave it in a better state than he found it, and pass it on to the next custodian to do the same.
