I don't know if you watched the premier league debate show with Pardew and Ian wright last night. Pardew mentioned about the Palace budget being tight and assumed that we will have to get a high earners off the wage bill to make further recruits in this window.

First of all who said Tomkins was on 65K a week??? If he is then he won't be going anywhere because no one else in the world would pay him 65k a week...either they have better players or they couldn't afford to pay him.

I remember seeing when he signed for us when pardew was left with the cheque book - mandanda 80k, Townsend 65k, Benteke 120k. He was at least 45k at West Ham, so I say he's on more at Palace.

Why would he be on more? There is no way he is on 65k a week it is as simple as that. In terms of average earners I doubt Tomkins comes up on the radar as someone the club needs to sell. Cabaye maybe, Wickham for sure, Townsend at a push. Mandanda is already gone along with Flamini. There is more than enough room left wages wise for a 2nd forward considering we are now without Remy and Campbell. While Pardew may think he knows his sh!t about Palace, he is not aware of just how much money SP brought into the club with the recent change of sponsors...if you take SP at his word then the sponsor money has covered the cost of RLC and Riedewald.
