Good to see Pards and hear what he has to say.

I would not have sacked him and I feel he would have kept Eagles up.

Difficult to see the logic of hiring De Boers who apparently will be turning to 'total' or entertaining which is what Pards is accused of.

Defence is the key in my opinion and Pulis and Allardyce were successful here.

The Dutch ladies who won the ladies euros last week saved 4 goals from England and Denmark by having defenders on the goal line.

The difference is FDB has played that way,and managed ajax to 5 league title's playing that way.
And has the mindset to coach the playere to play like that....pardew hasn't and was a s*** player too boot, apart from that one goal.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

Car accident or bad tackle, it ends up the same. He was one injury away from not having a left back. We had 2 or 3 of the back 4 playing out of position every game after that.

Allardyce came in and added 2 left backs and a centre back, and we still ran out of centre backs by the seasons end. But under Pardew...who knows if we'd have gone as long as we did before having to throw any warm body into the centre of the defense.

Also, I blame Pardew for many of the injuries because the players were unfit and so prone to get them - even previously robust players. Once hurt, they seemed to stay hurt, too.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Who were the robust players that stayed injured under Pardew.?

Not accurate.

We won 4 league games in the season that he was removed of his duties which was after 17 league games.

Certainly 2016 was a bit of an 'Annus Horribilis' for Pardew in the league. But he kept us up in his first season after he joined when we were 18th, kept is up in his second season and got us to the FA Cup final.

That record was awful and he had the worst 2016 record in world football.

WOW a cup final pointless if you do not win it so it's just another loss.

Good post. It's also worth considering his legacy, whilst a few of his signings didn't work out, the squad he left us with was substantially better than it was when he joined us.

Look how much he spent to get those players it was a lot and a most of them was no better we had a lot of dead wood.

I think it is quite clear the poster meant it was foreseeable we did not have cover at left back. Pape was always a red card waiting to happen.

I'm really enjoying his work with sky , he's been very insightful. It didn't work out for him here, but he got us to a cup final and mid table finish. Give the guy a break.

dont be silly...its much easier to hate on a man rather than have a reasoned opinion.

on the whole the guy did well, and of course its his fault our reliable full back smashed his leg to peices in a car accident.

Your comment was completely unnecessary. One of the worst i have seen on here. It was quite obvious that he was rightly criticising Pardew for not having cover in that position. He was not talking about the unfortunate accident that Pape suffered
