Southampton and Van Dijk. - Total fallout and both sides are digging in.
Swansea and Sigurdsson. - How protracted can a seemingly done deal be? Leaving them little time to use their new funds.
Everton and Barkley. - Definitely going to be sold, won't play etc but backtracked on yesterday by Koeman.
Spurs and Rose. - Tabloid special.
Liverpool and Coutinho. - Club says he doesn't want to leave and won't be sold. Player hands in transfer request later that day.

With all those, and any others I've missed, us being one or two transfers short of finished isn't so bad.

I hope Swansea sell Gylfi and fail to replace him. In that case they'd be toast.

Van Dijk has a "virus" which sound even more made up than an "injury".

Oh and there's Man City and Nasri & Chelsea and Costa, but their squads and spending powers are so huge that it doesn't even matter to them. Liverpool also still have the Sakho issue unresolved of course.
