Ultimately it's early doors but for me my big fear about 343 cane true today. Firstly, I've always had issues with 'possession football'. I much prefer 'winning football'. Yes, it's great to have defenders who can play a bit, but first and foremost they're there to defend. Today was a shambles. My other issue with 343 is that it stifles our best attacking options. Yes,FDB can say it gives Zaha the chance to be higher up the pitch but the likes of him and Townsend are more effective when they have space to run. So effectively 343 makes us more vulnerable at the back and less potent in attack. I fear this experiment will backfire, said it from the off. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.

Playing 3 at the back is suppose to give an extra player higher up but it did not show! Why? Because we don't have players who pass quick enough! Its like watching england, to robotic. What's wrong with 442 and ask the LB&RB to over lap and support, same thing right?. Football is a very simple game which is being made over complicated. Barcelona could play any formation and it would work because of the quality of players, we are not barcelona and need to play to OUR strengths.
