Has prem league experience, a different option from Benteke. Has a 1 in 3 record for Uruguay. He main attributes are running in behind the defence. In the prem granted he hasn't been clinical but we have to realistic, who could be Benteke reserve. Only problem I see is he's a bit injury prone. Could he solve our injury crisis. Wouldn't be more than 12m imo.

Yeah good shout, decent back up player. There's such a shortage of strikers at the mo. Surely there's someone in the French or Dutch league that could be a bargain?

Luuk de Jong (see thread) has been rumoured but de Boer distanced himself from it at the press conference this week. Strikers cost loadsa money, and we still need a gk and a RWB. Wickham will be out until xmas, so a rabbit needs to be produced from a hat somehow!

If we've got £12m - £15m to spend on a striker, Lucas Perez from Arsenal looks a perfect fit to me. Still hoping we're pursuing him.
