I was watching Henessey in the first half and he kept gesturing to the bench and did not look happy. Did anybody else notice?
I am sure was complaining about our tactics of trying to play the ball out of defence, which clearly wasn't working! and we ended up putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure with Ward, Dann, Riedewald usually losing the ball before we we even made one pass.

I think his problem was with the midfield? There is no point in him playing the ball out short to the back three if they then have no one to pass to. Most of those instances of giving the ball away looked to me like they were crying out for a passing option, while everyone else was standing and watching.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

susmik said "You cannot blame the other team members for his letting so many goals in, THREE yesterday if I remember correctly, and you cannot say we have a set weak defenders either. Wayne's job is to stop the other team sticking the ball in his net...BUT he just does not do it."

So how do rate these keepers then from the week-end games if the keeper's job is to stop the other team scoring.

Hart 4
Schmeichel 4
Courtois 3 (Almost 4 as he just watched a free
kick hit the post)
Cech 3
Mingolet 3
Gomes 3
Heaton 2 (Possibly at fault for both)

Also Bergovic made a bit of a hash of WBA's winner too.

And yes you can attribute blame to defenders sometimes for not doing their jobs properly but neither you or BG take that into account at any time, you both come on here and blame Hennessey every time.

I don't find the need to keep coming on here to slag players off. I wouldn't be doing so over Hennessey if he did not keep getting the blame for every goal conceded when, like on Saturday, none of the goals were his fault.

In YOUR opinion!

Supported Palace for over 67 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Read he thread properly as others have said the same thing. I note that you have totally ignored the question
about the other keepers letting in goals also.

Oh God! A new Hennessey thread ..

I cannot believe this. We have far more urgent needs than replacing him like - a creative midfielder.

Puncheon just seems to go round in circles and then generally backwards. How are Benteke and Zaha supposed to score goals if they don't get decent service?

The defence will get sorted when they get to know each other but no good passing out of defence if the midfielder passes back or loses possession.

We're not blaming Hennessey! Simply saying that he isn't
Good enough in his position regardless of what else
Is around him. Try and separate the two and you might see where I'm coming from.

We are flogging a dead horse mate as they cannot see the wood for the trees or respect our point of view. They will still come back with a load cobblers in answer to whatever we might say. I am totally onside with you that Wayne is a liability between the sticks.

Hi lads,
Im new to this site.
In my opinion, If FDB hasnt the balls to drop Puncheon very soon then we are doomed for an awful season. The chap was taking free kicks on Saturday as if he was having a kick a bout with his kids, he should have been dragged off at half time.

We 100% need a second striker, Benteke sometimes plays like a man who knows he cant be replaced, he should have had a couple of goals on Saturday.

I dont think goalkeeper is the main priority, WH is no Peter Shilton but he was not at fault for those goals on Saturday.

By playing 3 centre backs, with 2 of them making their debuts was always going to be a recipe for disaster, Fosu mensah only arrived during the week and should never have started.

FDB has a lot to answer for that starting lineup. Shocking.

I think every palace fan would agree that we need and can improve on our current two keepers, but its not as important as outfield players.

an attacking midfielder and or striker is far more important right now.

Hennessy will do an ok job where as puncheon will do no job. He made one good tackle on sat and offered hardly anything going forward at all.

Maybe Cabayes the answer but that position for me is more a priority than GK, if we can afford to cover both, then awesome.
