Perhaps another loan if Pool allowed or he may of spent 10mil or more on a cb that could fit in alongside Dann or Tompkins. That and perhaps a right back to either play in place of or push Ward is all that is required for our back four. Two good players in each of the back four positions is all that is needed and we need someone in Delaney's position so that he is the covering player for that new guy. Instead we are going to play with 3 at the back with wing backs for which we don't have the players let alone cover to do that. Madness!

It was embarrassing today. A total car crash. From where I was sitting no game plan, no one seemed to know what there were supposed to do. The 2 loan kids were the only decent players.

Only 28 years since out last real disaster at anfield and a display with yesterday's tactics will see another 9 being shipped Need to revert to a 4 5 1 and if De Boer wants a new system practice it in training to get it right not in a premier game would make more sense at the moment Edited by n wales eagles (13 Aug 2017 7.02am)

Pardew got axed because he couldn't swallow his pride and admit his team weren't adjusting. Allardyce flourished because after a few games he worked out the team's strengths and played to them. If FdB is quick to adjust things like Allardyce did then fantastic. I think that's all anyone is saying. I supsect some of the booing was the frustration of having to spell it out to a third manager in a row.

How I laughed!

Granted it wasn't the best of performances, but it was never a 3-0 game. We need to tighten it up in defence before we face the better teams or we will get taken apart. The one plus from yesterday was Loftus-Cheek, what a player he will be. We never do first games of the season for some reason, never have done, never will i guess...

What I don't understand is why we didn't play the same team as in preseason.. We were starting to look ok vs schalke. It already takes a while to change to a new system. Throwing in curveballs like this doesn't help.
