To be fare, i had my reservations about the formation as we just dont have the quality for it. Yes we have some real quality in the team but not for 343. We got exposed by a newly promoted team and to be honest they battered us. We didn't have a clue the first half. The free header from the cross i could see coming with the players in defence. I dont think it would of been that easy if we had Dann Tomkins Kelly or Sakho in the middle. 451 from last year is whats needed. We had plenty of attacking flair and looked pretty solid in the run in.

Berkamp had enough of him because he was sick of him being possessed by possession.

Expect more dross vs Liverpool and Swansea and after that if no improvements and new signings it's time to get nervous. He had no business being on the pitch. I suggest he was bought because he is an FdB 'yes man'. Worse still, he'd did that for the entire first half, and probably in the second half too, but he was too far away for me to comment during the second half.

High folly to ditch the back4 system with Milo in front (and freed our forwards up) that stabilised last season's-end, ESPECIALLY as our early schedule avoids most Top6 clubs. Better to accumulate some points early on with a familiar system and work on FDB's back3 Plan B - or his "new, improved" Plan A - behind closed doors until players understand and comfortably embrace it, or until we have the required new players in place. How stubborn will FDB be?? I hope fervently to be proven wrong... My worst fear is that we'll be so far behind on points at Xmas, we'll need snookers...

Our start isn't that good apart from 4 easier teams. We've lost to one of them. Liverpool next then 3 easier games but not actually 'easy.' Then we have Chelsea ManC and Manscum. Great.
