Personally I would prefer not to see Riedewald start again until he has undergone some basic training in marking, tackling and challenging for headers

The bit I'm really struggling with is that FDB was appointed and immediately announced his tactical intentions without seeing the players available to him.

I've been sceptical since then and of course yesterdays performance and result is only adding fuel to that fire.

I haven't seen a Palace team that easy to play against since Burley's era.

The players won't be comfortable overnight with the system but we are work in progress.

Arsenal didn't always play the silky football they play now.they had to learn.

I for one think FdB will get it right.

Might take time but would rather watch us playing pass and move than kick and rush.

Frank the Plank said that the way Huddersfield played was not a surprise because he done his homework on them. He clearly didnt tell the players. Playing 3 at the back you need 3 dominant headers whereas Riedwalde isnt and he didnt move for the 2nd goal. He was also probably mystified by the near post corner routine circa 1988.

Me too. It thought it was BS when I heard it and it's been proven. 3 new players in and still 2-3 short.

This could get ugly if he stays married to something failing in a big way.

Everyone is suggesting that we play different formations, assuming that FDB actually knows how to train and implement a 433, 4141, 41212 or whatever. These aren't the systems he knows or believes in. He's chosen the 343, it didn't work but I'm amazed at some many of us so impatient and lacking in belief after just a couple months.
