The plain fact is that we haven't seen a hapless display like that since the Swansea game and if we'd built on what Sam left us, rather than tearing it all up and starting again, there's a good chance we'd have notched up three points on Saturday.

We had lots of games as bad and worse under SA Man UTDs second team beating us with ease was as bad as it gets. Sakho was the main cause of our better form along with Luka.

Blah Blah Blah
Utter Nonsense
And heres why

Yes Sam took a while , BUT , we already had points on the board so therefore we only had to make adjustments on fitness and concentration to eventually get safe .

FDB has got it ALL wrong
We do not have players that can keep the ball ,
We have players that defend well ( better with Sakho ) and attack quickly
We have never EVER been able to string more than 6 passes together , maybe briefly with Venables in the old second division , but thats it .
The danger of giving FDB " a chance " or a " few games " is that we could very very easily LOSE every game and by December be 15 - 20 points adrift
YES , thats the reality .
Experiments and change is fine , but NOT in a division as lucrative as the Premier League
I think we should get rid of FDB as soon as possible and get in a manger that plays simple football that our players are capable of playing !!

Jesus wept matey, we're only one game into the season and your talking about paying out his contract. He's not even had time to sign players yet.

As long as he doesn't stick with it if it clearly isn't working, I'm happy. He's got to have a couple of games to try things out.

I suspect at the back of his mind, he's as keen to succeed as anyone.

Thanks to you guys for your thoughts
Interesting that some of you believe that FDB will get better
How ?
He has set his heart on changing the system , our players can't play that system , so get rid of him
Yes drastic , or do you want to wait again till January and have another nail biting end to the season .
Lets go back to playing 4 4 2 . 4 3 3 .
Work on defending , and counter attacking , and we will finish mid table .

You are obviously so terrified of relegation it has made you into an hysterical nutcase. Theres another 37 games to play, during which I suggest you go and hide under your bed

I think that since January 2016 fans have been stressed as we lose a lot of home games. All we want is to see the team win , hence the frustration. Losing 3-0 at home to a newly promoted team is a worry as it is 3 points lost. The context of losing often at selhurst is why there appears to be so much anxiety with each loss, the worry I have is that we don't appear to have the squad to deal with this new playing style, so perhaps if we were not going to get the players to play this so called expansive play we should play to our strengths then overhaul gradually.
Obviously the manager will be given some time, but surely we don't want to be in a position if things don't get better, we are looking for another manager come November/December.

On another note I wasn't one of the Pardew out brigade , but I find myself highly irritated when I see him on tv giving 'expert' opinion particularly as he overlooks how he failed to get us out of a slump in his last year with us.

Allardyce took over an unfit and demoralised team that had been in a downward spiral for a year and it was inevitably going to take time to turn that around, including some disappointments on the way. But Allardyce left us in a much better position than when he arrived, including his signings. We should have either bought or replaced Sakho (and that ain't Riedewald) and built on what Sam had started. The last thing we needed was to start something completely new, especially by a manager who's only ever played 3-4-3 at Inter, where he was rapidly sacked, and for which we don't have the personnel to make work, and never will have, because we don't have the funds for the players needed.

Should have gone for Sean D from Burnley as Manager who would have selected our tried and tested formation which worked for him at Chelsea last Saturday. FdB was always going to be a gamble. Hope he turns things round quickly as he seems to be struggling after five first team games with his preferred style of play not just last Saturday.

People aren't employed as analysts / pundits on their record as managers as hardly any of them have been successful in that role

I agree, they are all unable to get a job in football, so spend hours on TV telling people how it should be done. How they have the front is laughable, Shearer is the worst, he just ignores his abject failure at Newcastle.
