Yes, desperate times, and a great test of Parish's leadership. Easy for posters isnt it but I would: Sack FdB and put Freedman in as interim, and revert to a more traditional pattern of play. Buy Sackho and a decent second striker

You can't blame him for going there rather than us. We seem clueless and I would hesitateto to join cpfc as a player when you see what we have done so far. If we sell Hennessey and Townsend as rumoured who will we get to replace them. We can't afford to let Townsend go, especially with Wilfred out injured. Time to go to a dark room and lie down, it's depressing.

Now there is talk of Hennessey going to the Toon and Townsend to Leicester, while yet another transfer target (Wimmer) disappears elsewhere, and the Sakho deal remains as remote as ever and will perhaps now be replaced by a second-best Fonte. All this is supposed to be sorted out in the next three days. Nothing about us on the Sky Transfer Centre today, while the hours tick by.

Good question. But the thing is, we don't know! We are mostly in the dark about what is happening. Good journalists like Dom Fifield pass on what hints they can pick up, and I took seriously his Guardian report about SP and others being deeply concerned about FDB. But in general we are on the outside, trying to decode the occasional clue and rumour that come our way. Same as with possible transfers. We are now down to three days and counting. It feels like this has all been left far too late. But unless SP fesses up and tells us, we continue to guess about what is really going on.
