What evil cowardly vengeful losers in life these killers are. Targeting families again. No available punishment seems severe enough for them if they are caught.

I think with over twenty thousand on watch lists....that would just come across as playing chicken. The problem is that people don't seem to recognise that these numbers are just going to go up and up.

But on topic, I wonder how much closer to internment "the West" is edging (or indeed is being pushed towards)? I still don't understand why the massed hi-tech special forces of IS' target states don't start working their way down the target lists. JFDI. No more hand-wringing or ****ing hashtags.

Reform has to be tried long before that...but the layers of nonsense around it have so many defenders that even that won't happen. Still, I back reformers...there is no other choice. We all know what's coming if reform doesn't succeed and it isn't going to be pretty...but it's another generation away of increasing violence before that. I'm resigned to it now. It's a problem my children have to deal with not me.....It's a bit like the north korea thing....People don't deal with hard decisions if they don't have to. Here, military action hasn't dented the threat and may even have exacerbated it. Also, unfortunately, I have no idea if a political solution is even possible - even if our current leaders could effect one - which I very much doubt they could. So, like a partially deflated balloon, every time we squeeze one place, another side will pop out.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
