Liverpool has 13 shots on target, we had one! So we learnt that we have an outstanding keeper. And welearnt that a manager can destroy our defence and offence simultanously!

Correct !

Today was another poor performance.

Ward again looks out of his depth.

Luka has gone from being outstanding to being a passenger running around like a headless chicken with the new system.

Benteke has no chances and then gets one which he fluffs because he has been out of the game for so long. And that chance was nothing to do with the system but was just because RLC is a great player who made that from nothing.

Hennessy had a good game as he tends to do every once in a blue moon.

If we persist playing a system which doesn't suit our playing staff we will go down.

The analysis tonight on MOTD or Sky will probably show a poorer Liverpool with so many changes and some improvements from us, if they even bother with us. The dynamics change again vs Swansea and so must our intensity and stamina because I thought we were done about 3/4 into the match.

Oh and the weak links need dropping fast if we're to actually win any points.

1.) I agree badly need someone who can play here but it is differcult to get quality for good value at the moment also worth holding onto Ward for this season as backup.

2.) We are not signing Sakho people need to give it up with this already Liverpool are hardt to deal with they set a price which we will not pay and I agree 30m is way too much also how do you know Dann and Mila can not work together it has only been two games it does take time remember Dann was injured last season when he ame in so they didn't have much time together.

3.) Spot on Punch has shown for few season now he is not good enough I do not care if he is a good captain that is no excuse for putting subpar player in the team

4.) Yes we do but I would say other positions are more important so he might be alright for another season not many options out there to replace him with.

5.) I do not see this being a problem and Wilf missing wouldn't really of changed the game that much

6.) Need someone completing with him not just cover also benteke only plays one way which is not great need another option someone who is willing to run (shame we didn't try going for J Hernandez well worth the money and proven)

Really do have to question what is going on the lack of trnasfers is very poor we all knew even end of last season 4-5 players would be needed yet we have only got 2 loan players with one central defender (shame we didn't buy Cheek he is looking very good so far hopefully he can continue all season)

Basically it's Scott Dann's lack of communication or breakdown in communication with Luka either way they haven't gelled together. Even though we played marginally better today there wasn't much of that link from defense to offense that's is so desperately needed in 3-4-3 saw a great deal of backwards passes to Hennessey who hoofed it as per usual and we lost possession. That's why we need Sakho because of not only his ability to command the center halve but to link up with not only Luka and RLC to create the transition with pace from defense to offense desperately needed in 3-4-3. If we run Scott Dann out there every week, we're A. going to be hoofing it like we saw early trying to hit Tekkers which didn't work B. We're going to continue dithering with ball and that doesn't work. Either way it doesn't and won't work. Not to mention really 30 million is a drop in the bucket for a player the quality of Mamadou Sakho. We need 5 players either way to make this work and stay up.

Can't really blame benteke. The forward line just isn't dangerous without wilf.

Benteke is just a lump, sorry but i cant stand the bloke. He is lazy, can't control the ball, supposedly the best header in Europe (really) doesn't harry defenders as the 1st line of defence. At £32 million i would expect him to be all over the pitch and missing chances for fun. If he had been a £400k signing from Rochdale he would be banished to the reserves never to be seen again.

Rubbish. We don't want him running all over the pitch - we want him where he can do most damage. Ok he has missed three good chances in the opening two games but at least he is getting them and will start putting them away if he gets the right service.

Well Sky are showing the full game right now and, so far, I can't see that we were anywhere near as bad as some are saying. Clearly missing Wilf but it's a massive improvement on a week ago.

I watched it live, then saw the highlights. We looked solid, pretty decent going forward, and the passing was much better.

Hennesey played well, but still struggles to understand when he should go long, short, and whether he should hold the ball or quickly send it up to Benteke.

Ward was improved, but still looks short of quality.

Two things stood out, Benteke's miss and Luka mis-control. Fix those two things and it would have been 1-0 Palace.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Made some important stops and for once judged when to come off his line (in one situation). However he was still a statue when a free kick (luckily) was skied over his bar. We STILL need a better keeper.

If Wilf had the chance RLC put on a plate for Punch we'd probably have gone in 1-0 at half time.
