It all doesn’t really matter and water under the bridge. We have ended up with Roy, who is a class act at club level. We are much better off with Roy, than either Silva, Dyche or Pellegrino, all of whom are ambitious and would be just using us as a stepping stone in a career path.

Exactamon.

1. Only Hull had by far the worst squad so to write off taking it to a few games left is by nat means clear cut failure.

2. Guess who was man of the match v Sunderland? Jordan Pickford. They had several very good chances but it wasn't to be. You must've been incredibly calm watching that match because everyone at the time was fretting until Sunderland scored.

3. His selections v Palace were because he definitely had 3 big players unavailable. It may have been 4. It was definitely at least 3.

I think Silva is a victim of his own ambition rather than being useless or a failure as you say.

That final point. Let's just say Parish could've hired Silva. We'd be better off after 7-11 plus games and have £10 million in the bank. With Frank we were nearly ruined.

No way can you say that. Nothing to say he'd have started as well with us as Watford. He may have lost his first 7 games, been a disaster and been sacked with us bottom...who knows.....

Only one man can be that bad. Only one man could set that shambles up v Huddersfield and turned the team upside down after he put pen to paper. Silva had a track record in the prem, Frank had zero and really only experience at Ajax.

Silvas only track record in the Premier was relegation. Why keep banging on about de Boar, he is history move on. In fact Silvas record at Watford over the last 10 games cost him the sack, so he isn’t that good.

1 season, 1 relegation. His team couldn't defend corners.

Because Rudi will turn it around to be Parish’s fault.
Suits his agenda after Silva has shown us all that he is a five minute wonder.

No substance to another post. Surprised you haven't mentioned hot dogs or tosh again. Have a nice evening.

Back in September when we had the idiot dutchman in charge who I wanted out after ONE GAME , let alone four , there was at least 60% of people on here screaming how good Marco Silva was and how we " missed out "
After watching his dismal performance with Hull against us where he basically sulked for 90 minutes my comments on him and Watford were ~ They were in a false early position , and he was very very overrated .
I got slaughtered on here ( again )

Oh well
I dont wanna say I told you so ,
But ~ I told you so

But hired an atom bomb instead. Silva or Dyche were undoubtedly better options to me than de Boer then, still are, and forever will be.

Actually if we did get Silva and let him go, not only might we have Roy in a better league position and team condition but also be £10 million richer from Everton's compensation offer.

I kinda think its sad to correct other posters in this way but thanks anyway Rudi.

Given our managerial turnover rate - Silva would have been a bad choice as he was never going to hang around.

I like the sliding doors scenario that with Silva we'd have been in a stronger position before Roy's joining. But that assumes Roy hadn't been snapped up by one of the many other teams looking for a new manager. I big assumption in my view.

Dyche is another story. Had he wanted to join we'd have kept him for a while but I doubt he wanted to join Palace. At the current rate of his advance he's got to be looking for a bigger club for hits next job.

Yea reckon we dodged a bullet there mate . In Roy we trust. Would Marco come in as an assistant to Roy with a view to take over when Roy retires , he could learn a lot from Roy.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.
